Rescue Mission Gone Wrong

Listening to the radio always has its advantages. One advantage is to give me the chance to shake my head and laugh and the stupidity of those we trust to protect the general public, Cops. Don’t get me wrong I am not one of those people who hate cops and thus always have something to say when they mess up, but this is a really idiotic moment for the police force…

A woman gets lost in a local forest and needs the cops to come help get her out. A Cop and an Environmental officer go in at night to save her. They find her alive and well. HOWEVER, they cannot find their way of the woods and need a helicopter to locate them to succesfully get themselves as well as the woman out of the woods.

My first thought is what must that woman have though. When she saw the cops relief must have rushed over her. But when she realized they couldnt get out I can only imagine she was angry that they would send in two guys who were not smart enough to pay attention on their way in and bring a map/compass. I mean really?!?

On top of that why would you do a rescue mission that late at night?!?! The helicopter was called in at midnight! I realize that there was a woman lost in the woods but common sense says nighttime is dark and hard to navigate in. At this point they should have started with the helicopter not two boneheads with no sense of direction.

    HAHHAHAHAAHHAAHA! OMG…how funny!

They should have left ‘bread crumbs’ on their path, so they could find their way back – HA!

I can’t think any idiot moments cops have had here in Philly. Actually, that’s one of the things I truly like and appreciate about this city – the cops. They’re pretty much on the ball and sharp.

Great post! Loved the cop graphic!

    Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

  2. Seriously? At least they had radio contact. Can you imagine how that would have gone if they didn’t? People would think those woods were haunted if people kept going in and never coming out.

  3. I am pro-cop right now because the other night my friends and I were walking home and a cop gave us a ride. It was my first time in the back of a cop car. Not comfy at all.
